Philip (Phil) Kellogg, President

Phil has the responsibility for the budgeting, estimating, and bidding functions at Kellogg & Kimsey, as well actively participating in the overall management of the company. Phil and the Estimating Staff are heavily involved during pre-construction activities with clients and their design teams to bring exceptional value to their projects. He provides leadership in assessing market conditions for material and labor to keep the company in a very competitive pricing situation. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Building Construction in 1982, he was a Construction Manager for both a national and regional contractor before starting Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. with Charles Kimsey. He is a native of the Chicago area.


Charles Kimsey, Executive Vice-President

Charles is responsible for the marketing function of Kellogg & Kimsey, as well actively participating in the overall management of the company. He takes the lead role for managing client relations for national retail clients and is actively involved in the coordination of negotiated projects during pre-construction. He was a Construction Manager for two regional contractors before starting Kellogg & Kimsey, Inc. with Phil. Charles graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Real Estate in 1979 and is a native of the Atlanta area.


David Pfeil, Vice-President of Operations

David joined the company in 1989 as a Project Manager. His stellar performance led to work on the most difficult projects, as well as playing a large role in solidifying relationships with significant national accounts. In recognition of his achievements and future goals, David was invited to join Phil and Charles as a shareholder in 2000. He is responsible for the management of the field operations of Kellogg & Kimsey, as well actively participating in the overall management of the company. The Project Managers, Superintendents and their assistants work with David to meet our clients' goals for their projects as they are built. David graduated from the University of Florida in Building Construction in 1987. He is a native of Sarasota.


Brent Bobo, Vice-President of Business Development

Brent is responsible for developing new client relationships and business partner alliances, as well as maintaining existing ones. He is also actively involved in the coordination of negotiated projects during pre-construction. Before joining Kellogg & Kimsey, he performed this role with a regional design-build firm in S.C. He was also previously employed by Florida Power & Light, starting as a field engineer and completing his tenure as Sales Manager for the Southwest Coast of Florida. Brent graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1982 and holds an M.B.A. from the Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship from Nova Southeastern University. He is a native of Anderson, South Carolina.


Ed Doughty, Chief Financial Officer

Ed is responsible for the management of the financial operations of Kellogg & Kimsey. Ed and his staff are commended regularly for their accurate and efficient processing of all requests, both for external clients and vendors, as well Kellogg & Kimsey employees. He was previously a Controller for a worldwide insurance management company and an Audit Manager for regional accounting firm. Ed, who became a CPA in 1990, holds an Accounting degree from Dowling College in Oakdale, NY and is a native of Long Island.


Melanie Lehmann, Director of Safety & Permit Coordination

Melanie, who joined Kellogg & Kimsey in 1990, directs the licensing, regulatory, and permit coordination aspects of our projects during the pre-construction period. Melanie has excellent rapport with all city and county staffs for local projects, and has coordinated the permitting for company projects in 36 U.S. states. She is also responsible for the management of Kellogg & Kimsey's Safety and Health Program. Under her direction for the last 8 years, there have been no lost time accidents. She has successfully completed the programs for Construction Safety and Health, as well as Industrial Safety and Health at the OSHA Training Center at Georgia Tech University. She attended Manatee Community College and University of South Florida and is a native of Sarasota.
